Wet Disc Brakes Update

As of January 12, 2021, wet disc brakes are standard on all Mid and Large IC forklifts. These brakes are designed and built by Toyota and offer quiet operation with an expected lifespan of 10 years/20,000 hours.   Production for units with wet disc brakes will begin May 1, 2021. This change will impact all Mid IC Pneumatic, Large IC Pneumatic, Large IC Cushion, Box Car Special, and Paper Roll Special models. Drum brakes will be optional on the models shown below.   Forklifts built with the new wet disc brakes feature will also receive wide tire tread and oil-charged lift cylinders as standard features. Please reference the FL Manual for any specification changes.   Wet disc brakes on the Mid and Large IC forklifts will be covered by Toyota’s standard 3-year/6,000-hour powertrain warranty as well as by Toyota 360 Support.   Updated marketing materials, including brochures, spec sheets, and a new wet disc brakes flyer can be found on the Toyota Asset Management system here . The wet disc brakes product video can also be viewed on the TMH YouTube channel here.   Drum Brake Availability
