Dealer Training Updates

WHAT’S NEW   LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT Leadership Development Program Train-the-Trainer (T3):   We are offering another session of our TMH T3 Leadership Program, April 26-29, 2021. Our goal is for the dealer network to develop future leaders that align with the culture of TMH and reinforce behaviors that reflect our values. This program provides dealers access to the TMH leadership resources and allows Senior Leaders within the dealership to facilitate the leadership program. Dealer facilitators must complete the facilitator webinars and pre-requisites in order to be eligible to present the Leadership Development Program at their dealership. If you are interested in attending this training, please email   dealer.training@toyotatmh.com .    UPGRADED LEARNING MANGEMENT SYSTEM New Look and Feel to our Learning Management System –   The Dealer Training team is excited to announce that we are upgrading our current LMS. Some of the highlights that you will notice upon logging in on March 22 are:   Ease of navigation from the home screen Students will have a much clearer understanding of the courses needed in each level of certification Two different paths to choose in certain levels of certification within the Parts, CSSR, and Sales programs Classroom – A student will come to TMH Headquarters to participate in a week long training and receive credit for all classroom courses in that level of certification. Managers must approve before a student can register for this pathway. (Note: TMH campus is still closed for on-site classes. This option will be available when we are able to host in person classes.) Virtual – All courses are taught virtually via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Students will be able to register themselves for each module of the training. Dealer Training Schedule access from home screen A quick link to the Dealer Newsletter from the home screen Easy access to program brochures so students are aware of their path to certification   Our goal with these upgrades is for the learners to have a much better experience when logging into the portal and accessing their certification paths. We will be providing a video soon that will go step by step through how to utilize this new system.    ON-CAMPUS TRAINING Returning to on-campus training for select courses and programs:   We are preparing to return to on-campus training within the next few months for courses and programs that do not have an alternate delivery method. This would include T410 Advanced Troubleshooting, TMHHD products, and Warehouse Distribution Essentials (WDE).   The Sales Silver Certification on-campus program is designed to run in conjunction with WDE. These courses will be scheduled the same week if you are interested in completing both. However, you will need to register for them individually. For those unable to travel, the Sales Silver Certification will still be offered virtually.   Due to COVID-19, there are strict guidelines in place for visitors and these guidelines extend to participants in our on-campus training. Below are the protocols in place and all participants are required to abide by these guidelines at all times.   Students will be escorted daily to security to complete visitor forms and mandatory health and temperature checks for on-campus courses taking place at TMH. Classroom capacity will be reduced to observe social distancing while in the classroom and while performing shop exercises. (e.g. T410 Advanced Troubleshooting will be reduced from 8 students to 4 students, TMHHD Product Training will be reduced from 10 to 5, and Sales Silver/WDE will be reduced to a maximum of 8 students.) Hand sanitizer will be available in the classroom and lab areas. Daily sanitization of the classroom, lab tables, and other hard surfaces will be done regularly and at the end of the day. Daily sanitization of lab tools and equipment will be done regularly and at the end of the day. Students must wear a face mask covering their mouth and nose at all times during training, except while eating or drinking. Individually packaged lunches will be provided and meal services will take place in the classroom to limit the exposure to both students, TMH Associates, and VULTEC personnel.   We reserve the right to modify or change the guidelines at any time based on Federal, State, and Local Government mandates and recommendations. This includes the possibility of cancelling or postponing scheduled on-campus classes. Upcoming dates will be available soon in the Learning Center.  For further questions, please send an email to dealer.training@toyotatmh.com.   ADOBE FLASH UPDATE In January of this year, Adobe discontinued Flash. With this discontinuation, TMH identified 26 modules that were impacted (19 critical modules related to a certification and 7 non-critical modules not related to a certification).   Of the 19 critical modules, we have updated 13 of them which are now available for our dealers. The last 6 critical modules are expected to be updated and available by the end of March.   We are continuing to work on the 7 non-critical modules and will provide an update on the status in upcoming newsletters.   TECHNICAL TRAINING Learn Now – Tech:    The 9BRU Display Navigation Series is now released.
