Forklift Competitive Intelligence Tool



Located on the Dealer Portal at Dealer Tools > Value Selling > Value Selling Tools is the launch button for the Competitive Intelligence Application.   Data is available and sortable (and can be exported to Excel) by Lift Truck Manufacturer and Equipment Type (i.e., Stand-Up Rider Electric). The user can choose up to four models to create a side-by-side comparison of General Information, Dimensions, Performance, Weight, Tires, and Power.  Additionally, the tool includes general pricing information to help with awareness and the quoting process with the customer.  Finally, providing that the customer is not leasing, the tool includes resale value estimates for most models based on information gathered from numerous banks, leasing companies, dealers, and auction houses.   Best Practices: The Forklift Competitive Intelligence tool is a great resource to understand the competitor’s truck and formulate a value selling strategy.  Dealers and Sales Associates have utilized the tool to prepare for sales calls, to prepare a quote, and to present the Toyota solution and benefits to close a deal.   Instructions/Examples: Navigate to the Dealer Portal > Dealer Tools > Value Selling Tools > Launch Competitive Intelligence Application     Choose the Manufacturer or the Equipment Type     Select the applicable models to review and/or compare     Analyze the competitive data based on the models selected
