TMH Telematics Team Visits TMH Systems



As TMH prepares for the 2023 Telematics launch, having a clear understanding of how this new offering can impact each dealership function plays an integral role in the decision-making and direction. TMH created a Telematics Dealer Task Force to ensure dealership feedback is captured in a constructive and organized manner. An important outcome of this Task Force is to understand a day in the life of each dealership role to determine how telematics can impact and improve specific tasks.

TMH Associates from IoT Business Planning, Telematics Delivery Team, and Big Data were on site to understand and create process maps for daily tasks of dealer Associates from the Dispatch, Technician, Rental, and Fleet/CSS/Sales groups. This collaborative group was able to determine which tasks within their processes could potentially be impacted by telematics and received feedback regarding work in process items such as utilization and impact reporting.

We thank the members of Toyota Material Handling Systems for their high level of engagement and willingness to dedicate a large amount of their time in the Telematics workshop and to TMHS President, Lee Smith, who showed extreme gratitude to TMH for their focus on dealer feedback for this new product.
