Celebrating Our Dealers’ ASEC Success

ASEC

Aftersales Service Evaluations and Certification (ASEC) is the evaluation method used to promote kaizen activity in a Dealer’s parts and service operations. This will help Dealerships improve operational efficiencies and streamline processes while securing the trust of their customer bases. The ultimate goal is to maximize efficiency and help our Dealers do more with less.

For November, TMH would like to take this opportunity to recognize all Dealers that achieved ASEC certification. It is our honor and privilege to recognize the following Dealers as ASEC Certified Dealers. The dedication and hard work put forth by each Dealer, their ASEC Champion, and each team member are instrumental in the achievement of this important milestone and the ongoing sustainment efforts needed in the future.

Congratulations to the following list of Dealers for either joining our elite group of ASEC Certified Dealers for the first time OR for recertifying and sustaining their ASEC excellence:

ASEC Success Story

As most Dealers know, the activity of 5S and continuous improvement can truly transform a Dealership. Many Dealers have reported financial gains, operational efficiencies, increased technician retention, growth in customer loyalty, and improved morale.

This month we wanted to highlight a success story that happened as a result of the ProLift Toyota Material Handling – Toledo, OH branch’s continued commitment to ASEC excellence.

Recently, the ProLift branch in Toledo was visited by a City of Toledo Environmental Inspector who was conducting annual inspections in the area. As with all inspections, you hope you are prepared to meet or exceed the standards and expectations of the city. Not only did the branch pass the inspection, but the inspector was also very pleased with how the facility looked and was even more impressed with how their procedural sheets were posted throughout the facility.

Here is an excerpt from the City of Toledo Inspector:

“I would like to commend you on the Pollution Prevention Good Housekeeping practices implemented at your facility. I perform numerous inspections annually and was impressed with the cleanliness, labeling, and the designated waste area with the secondary containment inside of the containment area.

Also, with your permission, I would like to use/share some of the photos taken during my inspection today as examples of “what TO DO” for future training events.

Keep up the great work!”

Here is what the Toledo Branch Manager had to say about her team’s efforts:

“The Toledo ProLift team is very excited to achieve an ASEC re-certification. It was important for the team to succeed, and they pursued that goal with strong focus and commitment. The added value to our workplace is self-evident even to people outside the Toyota family by how well each area is clean and clearly defined, and indicated and designated, with purpose. It is very rewarding to see the “Wow!” on visitors’ faces and the pride of the team when showing them our space.”

Michelle Sponseller, Branch Manager

Kudos to the ProLift Toledo team for being a shining example of sustainment and continuous improvement to our Dealer network, their customers, and the City of Toledo.
