TMH Launches National Purchasing Program (NPP) for Toyota & Lexus Auto Dealerships
Electric vehicle (EV) sales will grow from 3 million in 2022 (3% of new car sales) to 27 million in 2030 and 92 million in 2040. The increased supply of EVs creates a need for EV battery handling, increasing the need for forklifts at automobile dealerships.
TMH, in partnership with Toyota Motor Sales and Snap-On, is excited to announce a national program for new Toyota Material Handling equipment for Toyota and Lexus automobile dealerships.
Automobile Dealers Included in the National Program:
Every Toyota or Lexus automobile dealership is eligible for the program. TMH has established a CRM account for any Toyota or Lexus automobile dealership that did not have one before this program. A list of automobile dealers can be obtained by pulling a report of NPP accounts in your APR. Automobile dealers are also included on the national account list on the Portal.
National Purchasing Program (NPP):
All Toyota and Lexus dealers have NPP Account Classifications in CRM. National Account discounts have been loaded into CRM. TMH dealers quote equipment, book orders, and receive market share credit. Terms of the national program are on the Summary Sheet.
Collaboration with Snap-On:
Snap-On distributes, manufactures, and markets equipment, tools, and systems solutions. Snap-On partners with Toyota Motor Sales and is a conduit for purchasing by Toyota and Lexus dealerships. TMH has partnered with Snap-On to promote the Toyota Forklift National Program to over 600 automobile dealerships across the US. Benefits of the Snap-On partnership include:
- Marketing Toyota material handling equipment on Snap-On’s website.
- Snap-On Regional Managers will promote the Toyota Forklift program to auto dealerships in their territory. Collaboration between TMH dealer sales professionals and Snap-On Regional Managers is encouraged.
Lead and Selling Process:
Toyota Forklift Dealers are encouraged to visit local automobile dealerships to establish relationships and perform site surveys. While there is a focus on electric equipment, all models are eligible through this NPP program. Promotion and sales support from Snap-On is supplemental to TMH dealer sales efforts.
Leads from Snap-On will be communicated to Sara Corya at TMH. Sara will communicate the opportunity to the local TMH dealership via Aimbase.
TMH Dealers do not need to take extra steps with this program. Sales are transacted locally, as with any NPP account. Dealers will receive ITA market share for these sales.
