With the refresh of the 4-wheel Core Electric models 8FBC20-32U, some adjustments were made to the way the compact and high-capacity battery models are ordered. The A23A & A23C options change the battery compartment size and the minimum required weights. The previous versions were ordered as individual models, but the new models are ordered by option on the base truck. Please refer to the table below for ordering instructions and updated minimum battery weight requirements.
Please note that the 8FBCH32U offers a *NEW* 36.6” battery compartment on the 8FBC32U, which allows larger batteries to be installed for additional energy capacity and has a higher minimum battery weight.
The previously offered option TR49 high-capacity frame for the beverage industry may be requested through a TSDR inquiry, but this will utilize the 8FBCH32U frame with the 36.6” battery compartment. Please specify on your TSDR if you are planning to install a smaller battery (i.e., 34.3”), the battery size, and weight information so a weighted spacer may be included in the TSDR.
