How Customers Can Purchase a MyInsights® Subscription


The new MyInsights® subscription plans offer customers actionable data to optimize fleet performance. As a dealership, you play a key role in helping customers purchase and activate their subscription. Below are the only two ways customers can order. Additionally, marketing resources are available to support your sales efforts.  

There are two options for ordering: 

  • Option 1: Through the New Equipment Channel: Dealers can include MyInsights® subscriptions during a new equipment order in CPQ.
  • Option 2: Through the Aftermarket Channel: Customers can purchase subscriptions online through MyToyota Store.

Option 1: New Equipment Orders through CPQ 

When placing a new equipment factory order, you can include the MyInsights® subscription as an option directly on the equipment configuration. 

When to Use This Option: 
This is the only way for customers to purchase a MyInsights® subscription at the time of a new equipment order from the factory. 
 
Next Steps: 
After ordering equipment, send a MyToyota invite to the appropriate CRM contact so they can begin setting up their MyToyota Account. 

Please Note: For customers to access their MyInsights® subscription, their equipment should be warranty-registered. Please ensure this is done in a timely manner.  

Option 2: Aftermarket Online (For Existing Equipment or Aftermarket Kits) 

If the customer did not purchase the subscription at the time of the factory order or they’ve installed a telematics aftermarket kit, they can purchase the subscription online through MyToyota Store

When to Use This Option: 

  • Equipment that has already retail shipped and was not ordered with a subscription 
  • Equipment with an aftermarket kit installed that now requires the purchased plan 

Next Steps:  
Customers should purchase the subscription online in MyToyota Store. Ensure they already have a MyToyota Account before ordering.
