We are proud to announce our 2026 Q1 THD Top Tech award winner: Fadiy Awad of Southern States Toyota Lift!
Fadiy consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to continuous improvement and actively pursues training, has earned a Cummins certification, and takes on complex repairs with confidence. He also embodies the Kaizen mindset by developing and sharing improvements to common repair processes.
One example is his solution for lowering a stuck lift cylinder. He created a custom hose that connects the side shift function to the cylinder’s vent line, allowing him to apply controlled hydraulic pressure while holding the lowering lever. This enables a smoother, safer cylinder descent during removal and repair.
Additionally, he sets a high standard when working with Toyota Tech Services by providing complete and accurate information upfront, including model, serial number, hour meter, problem description, and prior troubleshooting steps. This helps streamline support and reduces unnecessary back-and-forth, allowing issues to be resolved more efficiently.
