Tora-Max® Warranty and UIO

Tora-Max® products are routinely placed with national and high-volume customers across multiple dealer territories. Because these units may be delivered outside the selling dealer’s assigned territory, it is important that all dealers understand the expectations for Units in Operation (UIO) management and warranty support.

Units in Operation

When a Tora-Max® unit is placed within your assigned territory, please accept the UIO transfer when appropriate. Units should not be denied or transferred to the parking lot solely because they were originally sold by another Toyota dealer.

Accurate UIO assignment allows the local servicing dealer to identify the units operating within its territory and provide timely customer support. Selling dealers should continue to submit accurate unit and customer information when initiating UIO transfers.

Tora-Max® Warranty Coverage

Tora-Max® products are covered by a limited warranty of:

  • 12 months or 1,000 operating hours
  • Parts and labor for eligible warrantable repairs
  • No travel or cartage coverage

All repairs remain subject to the applicable warranty policy and procedures.

Before requesting payment from a customer, dealers should verify the unit’s warranty status and determine whether the reported concern may qualify for warranty consideration. Dealers should not advise customers that Tora-Max® products have no warranty coverage.

Consistent UIO management and warranty support are especially important for national account customers whose equipment may operate across multiple dealer territories. Your cooperation will help ensure these customers receive a consistent Toyota experience regardless of where their equipment is located.
