What he likes most about being a technician is the challenge of figuring out a problem and solving it. When asked what advice he would give someone wanting to pursue a career in the industry, he stated, “Learn all you can from experienced techs around you. Learn how the equipment works and “why.” This facilitates the repair process thinking and makes you more efficient.”   To prepare for the Platinum Test, he updated his notes and personal files from work on his home PC, closed the computer room door to keep the cat from bugging him, and did the best he could.    Will’s hobbies include riding bicycles, building bicycles in his home shop, photography, bird watching, local dirt track car racing, and traveling in the US to interesting places. An interesting fact about Will is that he plays an American Indian-style flute in the woods, just letting random notes come as they may.   Also, he mentioned that he truly values the friendships he has built over the years as a Toyota technician. From factory technical staff to customers and coworkers, it’s an honor to be a small part of our industry's big picture.
