Notice: Toyota Material Handling has recently received formal notice from T-Mobile/Sprint that the 2G network supporting our T-Matics Mobile solution will sunset January 1, 2022. Essentially, T-Mobile/Sprint will turn off the 2G network in approximately one year. This means that all T-matics Mobile devices will stop communicating on January 1, 2022. As a dealer that may have sold impacted devices, we are providing this early notification to allow you to communicate this update with your existing customers. In light of this news, we will be discontinuing the sale of the T-Matics Mobile factory option (X01B) and associated field install kits effective immediately. All existing T-Matics Mobile devices will be supported over the next 12 months until the 2G shutdown date (Jan 1, 2022). As discussed during Toyota Week, we look forward to transitioning to our next generation telematics platform in May 2022.
