Load Meter Display
To enhance the value of our product lineup, a load meter display function is being added as standard to the multi-function display for most Columbus, Indiana-built products.
Operation:
When the operator lifts a load with the forklift, the load weight will display on the main screen once the load stops moving vertically and the forklift is not in motion. For best accuracy, the operator should lift the load approximately 20 inches from the ground, have the mast vertical (not tilted), and the forklift stationary. The load weight will display for approximately 5 seconds every time the load and forklift stop moving. If the mast is moving the load vertically or the forklift is traveling in either direction, the load weight will not display. If the load is less than 220lbs, it will display as “0lbs”.

A service technician can adjust the length of time the load weight displays using the Tuning service function and switch the display units between pounds (lb), kilograms (kg), or tons (t), as well as turn it off, using the service function option set. A service technician can also update the weight display if any changes to the load handling function (e.g., forks, attachments and/or masts) are being considered. Please remember to obtain factory approval prior to making changes that could affect the forklift’s capacity, stability, or safe operation, along with requesting a new data plate.
This feature provides an estimate of the load weight and is not a “legal for trade” scale.
